Decisions, Decisions

Well, after several interviews it is looking like I am going to have to decide between two very good web-related jobs, each with highly respected blue chip companies in central London.

And being a Libran, this is naturally an extremely difficult thing for me to have to do.

I should hear “officially” early next week but I’m giving myself a bit of a head start by trying to figure out this weekend how to decide between them if I need to.

At the moment I really can’t split them – the people I’ve met at each are lovely and I could totally see myself working with them. The locations are excellent and easy for scooter commuting. Each job sounds like it will have more than enough to keep me challenged, busy and motivated. Each is wide enough to allow me to use and build a range of skills and experience. And each would have great cv value.

So what are the jobs? Well, the two jobs I loved doing most in the UK were the PwC one with OLP and the Royal Mail one. And each of these new roles is similar to one of those. I think the difference is that for one, the focus is more on managing relationships with suppliers and for the other, the focus is more on managing delivery. But they both seem to involve elements of both.

I think.

But I’ve had so many interviews I’ve sort of lost track exactly what each role involves. So I’ve asked each organisation to provide me with a short description of the role, just to confirm.

Hopefully I’ll then be able to make a decision………. sigh ………..

  • This is an enviable spot to be in – sort of, right? But does this mean you will leave Conchango before you have even unpacked your desk there?

  • Yes, I left Conchango two weeks ago. It was a good experience but just didn’t work out work-wise. These things happen, but hopefully not too often :-)
